Opel Zafira C - Opel company introduced updated minivan "Zafira" of the third generation in the spring of 2016. The restyled version got rid of the prefix tourer to the title.
The updated design of the front end of the Opel Zafira reminded the family Opel Astra K - the monocab received a minimalist grille and neat headlights with integrated running lights in the corners. Full LED adaptive headlights with Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFD) can be installed for a surcharge. It automatically applies different operating parameters depending on the traffic situation. Nine basic settings are available, including city and suburban lighting, cornering lights, economy idle mode, and tourist mode.
The display of the multimedia system, previously located at the top of the center console, was moved lower for ease of access and replaced with a 7-inch touchscreen. The use of a touchscreen made it possible to abandon additional buttons that glowed like garlands around the screen. The modern IntelliLink 4.0 multimedia system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications and distributes wireless Internet. At the same time, the steering wheel has changed, and ergonomic front seats approved by the German Physicians Association with six-way adjustments have been added to the options list.
In addition, adaptive cruise control, a mechatronic chassis, a panoramic roof and a lounge system for the second row of seats are available for the restyled Opel Zafira. In the latter case, the middle seat of the second row can be folded down. At the same time, rear passengers are separated by a kind of sliding table-armrest, as in premium sedans, and the third row of seats folds completely. In a five-seater configuration, the trunk holds 710 liters, but if you also fold down the second-row seat backs, the volume of the cargo compartment increases to 1860 liters.
The engines are exclusively turbocharged, gasoline, diesel, and also bi-fuel, that is, adapted to run on gas. The power of gasoline engines with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters varies from 120 to 200 hp, and diesel engines with a volume of 1.6 and 2.0 liters - from 120 to 170 hp. The power units are combined with a 6-speed "mechanics" and a 6-speed "automatic".
