Opel Crossland X - five-seat compact crossover with front-wheel drive, designed to replace the compact van Opel Meriva. Introduced in January 2017. The public debut of the model took place in March of the same year at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Opel Crossland X is built on the same platform as the Peugeot 2008. The new SUV differs from the previous Meriva minivan in increased ground clearance (178 mm), high seating position and more “off-road” design in the spirit of the older model Grandland X : overlays on the wheel arches and sills, as well as inserts "under the metal" in the bumpers. At the same time, like the co-platform of the French brand, Crossland is available only in front-wheel drive versions, and its strengths are a spacious interior and a roomy trunk for a compact class, the volume of which (410 l) can be further increased by moving the rear sofa forward by 150 mm .

The range of engines consists of gasoline and diesel units. The first category includes engines with a volume of 1.2 liters (82 hp, 110 hp or 130 hp). The weakest is combined with a 5-speed "mechanics", for the rest a 6-speed "mechanics" is proposed, and for a 110-horsepower modification, a 6-speed "automatic" is also provided. As for the diesel versions, they are available with 1.5-liter turbo engines (102 or 120 hp) and a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission of the same range.

The Opel Crossland X is produced in Spain at the plant of the Opel-owned French company PSA Group.
