Opel Insignia 2014 - front- or all-wheel drive D-class sedan. The debut of the four-door in the model range of the brand took place in 2008, and in 2013 the company introduced updated version. In Ukraine, the premiere of a restyled modification took place on "Capital Auto Show 2013".
External differences between the facelift model and pre-styling Opel Insignia consist in a larger false radiator grille, upgraded optics and modified bumpers.
"Meeting of sculptural artistry and German punctuality" (that's how the "opelevites" describe the design philosophy of the brand's new models) in the Opel Insignia is now taking place at a higher level. The warmth of these relations was especially well reflected in the interior decoration.
The company decided to move away from the concept of "every function on the button" and use more modern approaches. Therefore, the former "mosaic" of keys is no longer found on the center console of the Opel Insignia. There are fewer buttons, and the functions of those that have sunk into oblivion are now performed by a touchpad located near the gear lever in conjunction with color multimedia.
Opel claims that thanks to this solution, ergonomics have improved markedly, the control of many functions has become more intuitive, which in turn will allow the driver to be less distracted from the road.
The basic entertainment system is multimedia with a 4.2-inch color display, MP3 support, Bluetooth and AUX / USB connectors. Nevertheless, a multimedia system with even more features is offered for a surcharge. The central role in it is assigned to a large 8-inch screen, and control can be carried out not only from the touchpad, but also using voice commands.
It is noteworthy that the top entertainment system lends itself to “training”. The user can save up to 60 bookmarks to quickly jump to the information or function they need. This includes song lists, notebook contacts, saved navigation routes, and more.
The dashboard has also changed.
The range of engines consists of gasoline, diesel and gas power plants, the power of which varies from 140 to 325 hp. Three new units appeared in the list of engines: a two-liter turbodiesel (depending on the modification, it produces 130 hp and 320 Nm or 160 hp and 350 Nm, respectively), as well as a pair of 1.6 petrol turbocharged engines (170 hp). s., 260 Nm) and 2 liters. At the same time, the latest engine impresses not so much with its power of 250 hp, but with its "diesel" torque of 400 Nm.
Depending on the model, in the list of numerous options for the Opel Insignia, you can order an all-wheel drive system (not for all versions), a mechatronic chassis, premium acoustics, improved adaptive headlights And traffic sign recognition system. Serial production of the sedan is established in Germany.
